A NOTE ON FREE WILL
Astrology doesn’t offer guarantees and it can’t force outcomes - it speaks to correlation, not causation. What’s in the stars provides opportunity, energy and challenge in certain areas of your life. Some of it is overwhelmingly positive and some of it can be unbearably painful.
At the moment you are born, an astrologer can pick up your birth chart and tell everyone in the room all of the incredible talents, qualities and gifts that sit within it. It’s a map of your potential, but you don’t suddenly appear on Earth with these things readily available to you. While some are innate, others you have to learn - and in order to bring them to the surface or learn them, you have to do hard things. You have to go through pain, crisis and change in order to meet your full potential.
Simply put, astrology combines the patterns happening in the sky with the patterns happening here on Earth - both on a collective and individual level. We have thousands of years worth of data to show all the different manifestations of planets in different houses and signs and this is what we use to make predictions. But there’s two things that an Astrologer can’t predict - the first is which of the many manifestations will play out for you specifically and the second is how you will choose to execute your free-will. Of course, after some discussion we are better able to narrow it down and reach a more accurate prediction. But the best use of astrology isn’t necessarily prediction - it’s understanding the energies at play at any given moment so that you can move through life with intention, purpose, understanding and self-compassion.
Often, people come to me in a crisis looking for an explanation, or they want to know what specific day their boss will get fired or if they’ll ever have children. The truth is, there is no single, simple answer - sometimes I wish there was. But the reality is that the entire universe is available to you at every given moment. And, while yes, there are times astrologically speaking when areas of your life are more supported by the stars, just as there are days when you’d be well-advised to stay home and not speak to anyone - you ultimately, have the final say.
If, like me, you also believe in concepts such as fate, destiny and karma, you will agree that there are things that happen that are simply beyond our control. I also strongly believe that sometimes it’s what we don’t know that makes life’s tapestry so rich. But when it comes to signing contracts, launching a business, getting into relationships, joining cults or robbing banks, it doesn’t hurt to get a few clues along the way, and the stars can often hint at whether you’ll have a Rolex or handcuffs on your wrist the day after the robbery.
In my work, I explore the roadmap outlined by your birth chart and the themes and energies at play for you - they’ll be working with you to inspire and challenge you to meet the potential that was written in the stars at the time you were born. Read the script then rip it up, fire the director, hire the best looking actor you can find and remember, at the end of the day, only you get to make the movie. Make it one worth watching.
